The DC Blast Life

If you haven't had the chance to check out Blast in West End DC, you need to take your booty over there. 

Blast is a 60 minute HIIT workout. But it's not your typical 30 minutes on the treadmill, 30 minutes on the floor type of workout. Oh no! The class was designed to make sure you get your heart rate up by doing blocks of anywhere from 2-15 minutes on the treadmill and then immediately transitioning and doing the same time blocks on the floor. This way you can build up your endurance, V02 and heart rate levels while also not being incredibly bored running on the treadmill for 30 minutes straight.

I am going to preface this by saying... THIS WAS THE BEST DAMN RACE I HAVE EVER RUN. I was incredibly impressed with this race, the course, the way it was run, like I am still on a high from it and it should be on everyone's bucket list, and I mean EVERYONE.
