Why a Siesta Time is Necessary for Endurance Athletes

What do endurance athletes crave? Sleep! What do Americans lack the most? Sleep! So I think it might be a good idea to take a page out of the Spaniards book and incorporate a Siesta time into our lives.

Winter Cycling Accesories We All Should Own

Credit Flickr: Reid Neureiter
Cycling outside in the winter is something I am not a fan of and, as a result, I retreat indoors for many months.

Winter can be very uncomfortable for cycling. The wind hitting your body when the temps are below freezing, can make it feel like it's zero degrees outside. As the rule of thumb says, subtract 20 degrees while biking, add 20 while running.

Even though winter may soon be over in parts of the country, why not stock up now on items to continue those training rides or prepare for next year? That is why I put together a list of items that I feel every cyclist should own for biking during the winter or when it gets below 45.

Why You Should Choose ISM and My Breakaway Review

For those of you who haven't ventured into the world of better bike seats, then it is time.

Some bikes come with generic bike seats that are not very comfortable but who would think to upgrade their bike saddle after just spending a lot of money on a brand new bike? The saddle should be a good quality right? Wrong! Not all saddles are created equal and not all saddles are made for everyone. I would know. After experiencing this myself, I made the switch to ISM which I am now proud to represent them as an ambassador.

So for today, I am reviewing the first ISM saddle I've owned and my favorite, the Breakaway.
