Review of Kaenon Burnet Sunglasses

At the Escape the Cape triathlon last year, Delmo Sports had a plethora of vendors to visit and even the opportunity to win some cool prizes. That and of course they were offering some steep discounts.

In 2015 at Challenge AC, I came across this booth for Kaenon. Now I have just purchased some new sunglasses so I wasn't looking to add any new ones to my rotation, but in 2016 I had a change of heart.

Let Me See Your Qalo

I don't know about you, but I do not like to workout with my jewelry on, especially my rings. So upon getting married, I knew I had to invest in some new "rings" that I could work out in. After seeing many ads around the endurance sports universe, I came across Qalo and knew I had to give it a shot.

Vermont Covered Bridges Half Marathon

I FINALLY was able to cross Vermont off my list. I have read many race reviews from other websites trying to find the best race to run in Vermont, and this received the highest reviews by far. And I understand why.

Columbia Duathlon, or as I call it, Columb I gotta climb another hillia Duathlon

May 21, 2017
Columbia, MD
2.2 Mile Run, 25 Mile Bike, 6.2 Mile Run
Time: 2:34:53
AG: 1st
Overall: 6th Place

I know I am late putting together reviews of these races and I am sorry, but here they are!

I raced the Columbia Duathlon more as a fun warm up run/something to do plus I would like to try and do more duathlons in the future so I figured I'd give this a try. I knew it was going to be hilly, but I didn't expect it to be that hilly. So this race was a great tune up and eye opener, I gotta practice on more hills.

National Bike To Work Day

Today is National Bike to Work Day where I am very excited to be participating. As a regular bike commuter (during the warmer months) I am happy to see that cities are embracing the day and celebrating it and those who commute by bike.

My Tips For Bike Commuting To Work

Have you decided that you have spent enough time in the car on your commute to and from work? It drives you crazy getting stuck in traffic to travel 10 miles or less? Or is your walk to and from the metro as long as it would take you to bike to work?

Well if you are like me, bike commuting may be in your future. I am lucky enough to live less than 5 miles from where I work, but I do know many folks who live 10 miles or more from their place of employment. And like them, we all choose to bike to and from work. You may be saying to yourself:

I would like to bike to work, but I don't want to carry everything with me
OR
What do I do if I get all sweaty?'
OR
Drivers are not smart where I live. What if I get hit?

Top 3 Tips for Racing While Sick

At Mercedes-Benz half marathon, I came down with the symptoms of a cold literally as I landed in Birmingham. It was one of those moments where I said, "you have got to be F***ing kidding me." I had taking vitamins all week in preparation to make sure I didn't get sick leading up to the race. The weather is always a factor, and there had been a wave of temperature changes all week from 67 degrees to the teens. So Dayquil was in my future for the day of the race.
